Around 1.4 million Singaporeans will benefit from $ 570 million vouchers for goods and services taxes (GST) in cash and Medisave top-ups in August.
Eligible beneficiaries will receive cash payments of up to $ 300, which will be credited directly to their bank accounts from August 1st.
According to the Ministry of Finance (MOF), you will be notified by SMS or letter by July 3.
Those who have not provided their bank account numbers can do so on this website until July 22nd. You will receive your payments by bank transfer on August 1st.
The rest will receive checks that will be sent to the official address by August 17th.
Who is eligible?
Citizens must be at least 21 years old this year and have a taxable income of up to S $ 28,000 in 2019 to be eligible.
You will receive a $ 150 or $ 300 cash voucher depending on the annual value of your home as of December 31, 2019.
Anyone who owns more than one property is not entitled to GST vouchers.
Around 545,000 Singaporeans aged 65 and over in 2020 will receive GST vouchers in the form of Medisave tops up to $ 450 each as of August 1st.
They receive between $ 150 and $ 450, depending on their age and the annual value of their home.
In total, cash payments for GST vouchers total approximately $ 410 million, while Medisave top-ups total $ 160 million.

According to the MOF, GST voucher benefits have been paid to eligible Singaporeans every August since 2010. It is a permanent schedule that was introduced to help low and middle income Singaporeans offset some of their GST spending.
