It's been five years since Adele released her third studio album, 25, Five years since we first heard the haunting words "Hello, it's me" and five years since we felt the thrill of bringing out fresh Adele music. We are definitely ready for our next Adele fix, and according to their manager and agent, the wait could be over soon.
According to music weekWhen Lucy Dickins and Jonathan Dickins (their agent or manager) spoke to Eurosonic Noorderslag in January, they indicated that we can expect new music from Adele in 2020. And apparently Jonathan expressed this when it came to their new recordings, "the earlier the better".
The first whisper of new music from Adele came in October 2019 when One Republic teased a collaboration with Adele, Beyonce and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Then, over the weekend, Adele reportedly attended a wedding and informed guests – while singing karaoke – that her new album would be released in September 2020, though this has certainly not yet been officially confirmed. Regardless, we will be here, waiting impatiently for Adele to free us from our misery.
