SYDNEY (Reuters) – Australians should not participate in planned protests against the death of black American George Floyd in US police custody because of the risk of coronavirus spread, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Friday.
Protests against police brutality and to support Australian Aborigines in the country's largest cities are planned this weekend. The organizers expect thousands to participate.
But Morrison said people should rethink their planned actions because of the impending spread of the corona virus.
