Babyface and his family tested positive for COVID-19, the music icon shared on social media on Friday (April 10). He described the experience as "incredibly scary," but also reveals that he and his loved ones have since recovered from the potentially fatal virus.
The eleven-time Grammy winner revealed the ordeal on his 62nd birthday, but didn't reveal many details about when he got the virus or when he was recovering. At the moment, he says, he's just grateful to be here.
"I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday," he wrote. "I tested positive for the Covid 19 virus, just like my family. It is incredibly scary, my friends. I am happy to report that we have now tested negative and are on the way back to full health."
He said he was ready to "officially accept the legendary Swizz Beatz & Timbaland's invitation to join my little brother Teddy Riley in a Black Music Excellence in – Teddy vs. Babyface celebration." "
The music legend relates to the canceled fight between him and Teddy Riley last week, which we can now suspect due to Babyface's health problems.
Fortunately, he is fine and his fans will get the fight – or "celebration" – that they have been waiting for.
