One person died and eleven others were wounded in a shootout in the US city of Minneapolis, police said on Sunday.
Images streamed live on Facebook showed at least one person lying on the sidewalk while dozens were gathering – some crying out for medical help.
Other images showed companies with broken windows and police cars on site.
"Twelve people were shot," the Minneapolis police wrote on Twitter. "1 adult male has died and 11 have no life-threatening wounds."
They did not state the age of the man who died or say whether anyone was arrested.
Minneapolis has been a center of protests against racism and police brutality that have spread across the United States since George Floyd, a black man, died while being held by a white officer.
