Kid Cudi has produced many hits in his more than ten-year career in music. However, for many it may come as a surprise that he has never had a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. That is, until now.
The Cleveland rapper and singer "The Scotts" earned him the award. The title was released on April 23 with Travis Scott and obscured The Weeknds "Blinding Lights" around the top spot.
"THAT MEANS SO MUCH FOR ME !!! I've been in this game for 12 years and I finally did it, my MUTHAF – in brother!" Cudi tweeted to celebrate the news. "TO MY PARTNER IN RAGE TRAVIS AND ALL MY FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD, WHICH SUPPORTED US AND HAVE US ON LISTS, I F — IN LIEBE DICH !!"
Cudi also posted a picture of the Hot 100 chart on May 9th on his Instagram and wrote to his fans: "All about YOU. I love you !! So much."
Congratulations to Cudi and Travis Scott!
