Chrissy Teigen provides her fans with an update after she and her husband John Legend lost their third child, a baby boy named Jack.
Via her Instagram account on Friday (October 16), the model and entrepreneur wrote that she and Legend are "calm, but we're fine" while sharing a tribute the singer addressed to them on Thursday. "I love you all so much."
On September 30, Teigan shared the heartbreaking news that they had lost their son after complications during pregnancy. "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before," she wrote on Instagram at the time. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids it needed, despite bags and bags with blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough. "
She added that Jack "worked so hard to be part of our little family and he will be forever."

John Legend spoke in two parts earlier this week. On Wednesday night he dedicated his Billboard Music Awards performance of "Never Break" to Chrissy. On Thursday he posted a longer tribute to his Instagram account.
"I love and appreciate you and our family so much," he wrote. "We've had the highest highs and the lowest lows together. Seeing you carry our children was so moving and humbling. I am impressed with the strength you have shown in the most challenging moments. What a great gift it is being able to bring life into the world. We have experienced the wonder, power and joy of this gift and now we have deeply felt its inherent fragility. "
He continued, "I believe as long as we walk this earth we will hold each other's hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every trial. We made this promise on our wedding anniversary seven years ago, and every one The challenge we faced made this promise stronger and more resilient. Our love will last. "
