US President Donald Trump doubled on Tuesday when, despite protests from Beijing, he called the corona virus, which is rapidly spreading worldwide, a "Chinese virus".
"It came from China, so I think it's very accurate," Trump said at a press conference, defending an earlier tweet using the COVID-19 pandemic label.
Trump said another motive was repayment for China's disinformation campaign blaming the US military for the virus.
"China has released information that was wrong," he said.
"I didn't appreciate the fact that China said our military gave it to them. Our military didn't give it to anyone."
