Washington, United States:
US President Donald Trump said Friday that he "likely" will soon be tested for the novel corona virus, despite stressing that it "shows no symptoms".
Trump was repeatedly advised during a press conference at the White House whether he should be tested after contacting a Brazilian official who is now known to have COVID-19.
The President first closed the question and, on the advice of the White House doctors, said, "I have none of the symptoms."
"And we don't want people without symptoms to take the test," he told reporters.
But when he was grilled by reporters about his encounter with the officer at his Florida resort, he changed direction and said, "I didn't say I wasn't going to be tested" and that he "most likely" will be "pretty soon" would. "
"Not for that reason, but because I think I'll do it anyway," Trump said.
