Canadian singer Grimes and Tesla founder Elon Musk don't seem to agree on how to pronounce the name of their newborn son, X AE A-12.
According to page 6, the 32-year-old young mother Grimes previously explained that AE is the eleven spelling of AI, short for artificial intelligence. However, Elon Musk said in an interview published on Thursday to podcast host Joe Rogan that AE should be pronounced "Ash" while attributing most of the nickname to his girlfriend.
The 48-year-old multi-billionaire said: "First of all, my partner is the one who actually got the name most of the time. Yes, she is great in names."
He added when asked how to pronounce the name: "I mean, it's just X, the letter X, and then the AE is pronounced like" ashes "… and then A-12, A- 12 my contribution. "
Elon Musk even corrected the crooner "Oblivion" when she misspelled the name of the plane. The 32-year-old singer hit back on her boyfriend. "I'm recovering from the operation and barely alive. That should be profound."
X AE A-12 is the couple's first child. He shares five children – twins Griffin and Xavier and triplets Damian, Saxon and Kai – with his ex-wife, the writer Justine Musk.
