Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and the legal name of the newborn son of the Canadian singer Grimes were officially recorded in his birth certificate in the State of California.
Last month, the prominent couple dominated the headlines when they called their son X AE A-12. He was born on May 4. They later made a slight change in the numerical part of the name, which is now written in Roman format.
According to a report by the TMZ, the name has now been officially recorded on his birth certificate as X AE A-XII Musk.
The name change took place last month when an Instagram fan asked the Canadian singer if she was considering changing the child's name and she replied "X AE A-Xii".
However, the performer gave no further insight into the reason for the change.
One of her followers replied, "Fine! I just removed the numbers to comply with California law."
Grimes wrote about this: "Roman numerals. Looks better, tbh."
The 32-year-old singer also shared the name "Ex – Eye".
In an interview with Bloomberg, the singer revealed that she has already called her baby "Little X".
Earlier, family law attorney David Glass told People magazine that while the original name was technically legal, California only accepted the use of the 26 letters of the English alphabet for baby names.
According to the report, the new mother previously went to Twitter and explained that the X represents "the unknown variable" and "AE, my elf spelling of Ai (love and / or artificial intelligence)".
She also said part of the name is a tribute to the CIA's Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance plane, which "has no weapons, no defense, only speed. Great in combat, but non-violent."
The "A" stands for "Archangel", her favorite song, and the number 12 stands for the Chinese zodiac sign of the rat.
