Food delivery company foodpanda announced today (March 26) that it has partnered with local startup WhyQ to expand its food delivery options for street vendors.
There are currently over 300 street vendor stands on Foodpanda. By the end of the year, there will be another 80 street vendor centers across the island, representing more than 1,000 street vendor stands.
This means that Foodpanda users can now order their favorite Hawker food at places like the Amoy Street Food Center, the Maxwell Food Center, the Old Airport Road Food Center, and the Boon Lay Place Market and Food Village.
According to foodpanda, this partnership with WhyQ will continue to offer Singaporeans the "best experiences, variety of foods and prices they love".
She added that their partnership started back in 2019 and Foodpanda has since seen a 100 percent increase in street vendor orders – a testament to the demand for the service and its success to date.
"Partnering with WhyQ was a natural choice for both parties. We have the skills and strong infrastructure to scale quickly and reliably, and WhyQ offers a very robust list of street vendors with whom they have a strong and established relationship . " said Luc Andreani, managing director of foodpanda Singapore.
“Ultimately, our customers are the focus of everything we do. This strategic partnership makes the convenience we can now offer unprecedented. "
