Four soldiers were killed and five others injured after a helicopter crashed during a training exercise on the Indonesian island of Java on Saturday, an army official said.
The men were in the middle of an hour's flight when the MI-17 helicopter crashed in Central Java province and caught fire.
"Four crew members were killed and five others injured in the incident," Nefra Firdaus, spokesman for the Indonesian army, said in a statement.
The injured were evacuated and taken to the hospital.
Firdaus said the helicopter had been checked and in good condition before the accident before the flight.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
