It's a girl! Gigi Hadid welcomed her first child with Zayn Malik, the singer announced on Twitter on Wednesday evening. On September 23, Zayn revealed that Gigi had given birth to a baby girl. "Our little girl is here, healthy and beautiful," he wrote in a tweet next to a black and white photo of his hand holding the baby. "To put into words how I feel right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny person is incomprehensible to me. I'm grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and grateful for the life we will have together x. "
Shortly after Zayn tweeted, the 25-year-old model also posted a photo on Instagram of the singer holding his baby's tiny hand. "Our girl came to us this weekend and has already changed our world," wrote Gigi. "So in love …" Gigi and Zayn met for the first time in November 2015 and have been together again and again since then.
While the news first came in April that Gigi was pregnant, it was actually her mother Yolanda Hadid who confirmed this. "Of course we're so excited," enthused Yolanda about the Dutch outlet RTL Boulevard. “I'm looking forward to becoming a grandma (grandma) in September, especially after recently losing my mother. But that's the beauty of life: one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed. "
Shortly afterwards, Gigi confirmed the news herself with an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and a wonderful pregnancy shoot. "We are very excited and happy and thankful for everyone's good wishes and support," said Gigi. "During this time, being at home and together and really experiencing it day in and day out is a nice silver lining." Check out the cute announcements from Zayn and Gigi below. Congratulations to the happy couple!
