Grab announced today (May 6) that it will expand its transportation offering with the upcoming launch of two new on-demand premium travel options on May 25.
The new driving options are GrabCar Exec, a fleet of luxury vehicles that serve consumers who want to travel in style and comfort. and GrabPet XL, which caters to consumers with more pets.
GrabCar Exec offers limo-style service with an emphasis on quality of service. This is an option for consumers looking for a special ride for events or special occasions.
It's worth noting that Ryde, a rider, recently launched a new premium ridesharing service called RydeLUXE aimed at the same audience.
GrabCar Exec is serviced by a fleet of premium vehicles with four and six seats, including the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes Benz E-Class, Mercedes-Benz V220 and Toyota Vellfire.
Drivers can also take advantage of a variety of amenities, including phone charging and child seats.
In addition, the GrabCar Exec driver partners must take part in professional training. It is also recommended to dress professionally to improve the overall experience for consumers.
More space for pets and passengers
GrabPet XL is basically an updated version of the existing GrabPet service. The service would use larger models of vehicles and allow more passengers and pets to be carried.

For example, a GrabPet XL vehicle can carry three passengers and three small to medium-sized pets (up to 41 cm in length) or two large pets (41 cm in length or more) in a single trip. In contrast, GrabPet can accommodate up to two passengers, two small to medium-sized pets, or one large pet.
All pets (except birds) licensed by the Animal & Veterinary Service are allowed on the service.
All vehicles are equipped with foldable pet seat covers and adjustable leashes to keep pets comfortable and safe while driving. Grab also offers insurance coverage for traveling pets for the duration of the transit.
“Our consumers rely heavily on the Grab platform for their mobility needs. They are extremely diverse and it is important that our range of services is tailored to their different needs in areas such as quality, safety, comfort and more. We designed GrabPet XL and GrabCar Exec specifically to respond to feedback and inquiries from our consumers and driver partners, ”said Andrew Chan, General Manager Transportation, Grab Singapore.
He added that these new services will create more earning opportunities for the driver partners.
Interested consumers will soon be able to book these services via the Grab app. Rides start at S $ 16 for GrabPet XL and from $ 15 for GrabCar Exec.
