Colorado Springs, United States:
President Donald Trump despised the best picture Oscar for the South Korean film "Parasite" on Thursday and asked how a foreign film could get the honor.
"How bad were the Academy Awards this year?" Trump asked the crowd at a reelection campaign in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
"We have enough problems with South Korea, with trade. Do they give them the best film of the year?" Trump asked incredulously.
"Parasite", a dark comedy that deals with class differences, made history by being the first non-English-language film to win Hollywood's biggest annual award.
Trump said, "Was it good? I don't know." He seemed to indicate that he hadn't seen the film.
Neon, the US distributor for "Parasite," replied to the president on Twitter, saying that his subtitled opposition to the film was "Understandable, He Can't Read."
Trump, whose presidency was based on a nationalist slogan "America first", said it was time to bring back classics from Hollywood's golden age.
"Let's & # 39; Gone with the Wind & # 39 ;. Can we please & # 39; Gone with the Wind & # 39; get it back? & # 39; Sunset Boulevard? & # 39;" he said.
Trump also banged Brad Pitt, the best supporting actor's winner, and called him "a bit wise". Pitt used his acceptance speech to support Trump's impeachment.
