As you skim through Netflix's thriller collection, you may have come across a new British series called The unknown. The show created by Harlan Coben includes mystery, intrigue and above all family drama between an interconnected group of people – it is Love actually . . . but kill it. The show begins with a stranger who informs Adam Price (Richard Armitage) of his wife's wrong pregnancy. The stranger (Hannah John-Kamen) routinely emerges and blackmailes people either for their indiscretions or for the indiscretions of their loved ones. Adam's wife Corinne (Dervla Kirwan) will soon be missing. In each episode, the story is enlarged to give us a more complete picture. This is how the curvy threads of the series unwind The unknownends.
What happened at the rave?
Let's take a quick look at the kids who don't have much to do with the main storyline, except that Detective Johanna Griffin (Siobhan Finneran) first investigated her case before the murders. Mike had a hard drug on a rave because Daisy transferred him after he was convinced that he had posted pictures of her sister's private home. (It was Liv who did it – more about Liv later.) While he was high, Mike chopped off the alpaca head that started the investigation. Dante, who was found naked after the rave and was in a coma all season, just fell into the forest after Daisy left him. That's it. Although he made creepy videos of her, he had nothing to do with Corinne's disappearance. Really, it is the adults who do the shady things.
What happened to Katz?
We discover early on that Patrick Katz (Paul Kaye), Johanna's colleague, murdered her friend Heidi (Jennifer Saunders). He was looking for information about the stranger who had blackmailed his private customer. Finally, Katz learns that his wife, who has Munchausen syndrome through a proxy, poisoned her daughter Liv, so his extra work and murder of her medical treatments were free. After this revelation, Johanna visits him. Her partner Wesley (Kadiff Kirwan) informed her by phone that Heidi had been with Katz before her death. Before Wesley can reach her, Katz beats Johanna and later his wife. However, he leaves soon after receiving a tip on the stranger.
Who is the stranger
Adam desperately searches for his wife and believes the stranger knows where she is. He learns that the stranger is Christine Killane, the daughter of his client Martin Killane (Stephen Rea), also known as the man who murdered his wife years ago and kept her in a body bag in the walls (Huch). Adam finds her whereabouts with the help of his father's private investigator. He writes the address to Johanna, except that Katz has her phone.
Christine and her partner Ingrid (Lily Loveless) hold Adam captive. The former shows that Adam * dun dun * is her half brother. Yes, Martin is not her biological father. Adam's philandering father is. Suddenly Katz bursts in and shoots the women. Fortunately, Johanna's team arrives there on time.
What happened to Corinne?
In the hospital, Christine Adam explains that she wanted to look for him by telling him about his wife's lies. Even though she reveals secrets for a living, she didn't want his money. Eventually, Christine's information shows that it was his friend Tripp (Shaun Dooley) who stole the sports club's money. Corinne knew about it and decided to give him time to manage his finances. When Adam asked Corinne about the wrong pregnancy, she believed that Tripp had informed her husband and confronted him. Tripp fatally hit her and then buried her in the forest. Back in the present, Tripp leads Adam to her body and asks him to keep this secret, but Adam kills him with several shots.
Six months later Adam is at his son's soccer game. Johanna comes over to say hello. The final phrase? We learn that Johanna Adam helped cover up Tripp's death by holding him to Katz. And in her typical way, Christine watches from afar, not in prison because nobody wants her secrets to be revealed.
