After seven seasons Younger is finally coming to an end this summer – but watching the final season will be a little different from previous seasons. Instead of being a TV Land Original Younger will be part of ViacomCBS's endeavor to improve the library on the newly renamed Paramount +. What does this mean for? Younger Spectator? You need a streaming subscription to watch it right away.
According to TVLineThe first four episodes will premier exclusively on April 15th as Paramount +. From then on, the show will switch to a weekly release schedule with a new episode every Thursday, much like many other current streaming shows, until the series finale later this summer. If you don't already have Paramount +, there is another option: Hulu subscribers can also access these episodes on the same schedule as Paramount + subscribers. Unless the schedule changes, the series finale should air on June 12, but this has not been officially confirmed.
If you're not on one of these platforms, there is good news and bad news. The good news is that the entire seventh season will air on the linear TV Land network, as will all six of the previous seasons. The bad news? TV Land won't air the final season until later this summer. The network hasn't announced a premiere date yet, but it seems pretty certain that once the entire season (or at least most of it) arrives, it will be at Paramount + so as not to compete with itself.
The final season of Younger will bring some other changes along with its new home streaming and schedule. TVLine It has also been reported that two series regulars will only be seen in recurring roles this season due to COVID-related planning issues: Miriam Shor (who plays Diana Trout) and Charles Michael Davis (who plays Zane Anders). The series finale won't be the end of the Younger Universe! A spin-off is being developed to focus on Kelsey Peters, Hilary Duff's character (a show in which Duff plays a young professional in New York is the least the universe can give us after that Lizzie McGuire resuscitation was canceled). Right now we have to see where they are Younger The finale leaves her and the rest of the cast out, but it's nice to know that it might not be goodbye forever!
