MUMBAI (Reuters) – India's coronavirus case count stood at 8.1 million on Saturday. In the past 24 hours, 48,268 new cases were registered, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
India has the second highest number of cases in the world, just behind the United States, but new infections have declined since September.
The death toll rose 551 and the total death toll rose to 121,641, the Ministry of Health said.
