If you're a fan of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you'll be delighted. The supermodel and entrepreneur, Cynthia Bailey, who first appeared on the series in season 3, is usually the only person on the series trying to keep peace among women and is rarely at the center of drama.
Perhaps that's because the 54-year-old entrepreneur-turned-entrepreneur pursues multiple businesses and partnerships, including her modeling agency, eyewear line, and brand ambassador at Seagram & # 39; s Escapes and her newest company, Bailey Wine Cellar.
In an interview with BET.com, Bailey talks about how she can balance it all. Not only is she a very dedicated mom to her 21-year-old daughter Noelle Robinson and newly wed to television personality Mike Hill.

BET.com: You seem to be busy with the show and all of your other endeavors. How do you navigate everything?
Cynthia Bailey: We usually film for six months and then we advertise them. So it can be difficult because when I focus on something I like to give it my full attention – as a perfectionist, I want to make sure I'm invested in every minute. So when we film Real Housewives this is my top priority. Once we're done, I'll review all of my other businesses and new projects. But it's a blessing to have this job because it opened up other opportunities for me.
BET.com: Then how do you balance all of these possibilities with your personal life?
Bailey: I can speak for myself and also for my castmates. This is one of our biggest problems finding balance. What is helpful to me is just having an understanding child. Her father is the actor Leon [Leon Robinson, The Five Heartbeats and Cool Runnings], who has lived in the entertainment industry all his life. I was a model before the show, we've been kind of in business since she was born, and she came on the show with me when she was eight and now she's 21. So she gets it. That doesn't mean Leon and I sometimes don't live in a ball of guilt. But even though we weren't always there, we always made sure that she was looked after. I do this for you and my family. But of course there are times when I'm exhausted and just married, but my family understands. We make it work.
BET.com: As with many working mothers, there is a lot going on and you are used to doing so much. What are you doing special for yourself?
Bailey: I'll treat myself as much as I can along the way. I really enjoy good mani and pedi. I take my time once a week and get the work. I ask for the hot stones, a leg massage. I love getting massages. It is important to reset and restart or you will burn out. And I can't show up to work and tell them, "Hey, I'm sorry, I don't feel like working." I have to show up and show on this show most of the time. I also get facials. I like yoga, meditate, go for walks and sometimes it's just about being alone. That could mean that you watch films one after the other on Netflix and only order from DoorDash. There is so much power in being still.
BET.com: Can you tell me about your collaboration with Seagram & # 39; s Escapes? Why this partnership?
Bailey: The partnership with Seagram & # 39; s Escapes started in 2018. It's really been a blessing. Not only did Seagram & # 39; s and I want to create my amazing Peach Bellini, which is one of the top sellers that you saw at The Real Housewives of Atlanta launch, we also wanted to help empower women, which is important is me.
When we started this partnership, we immediately added a part of empowering women to everything we do. As a black woman, I understand the worth of other black women who empower me. So I want to make sure I'm doing the same for others and Seagram & # 39; s has been an excellent supporter of my efforts.
As entrepreneurs and business owners of multiple companies, we all had problems before the pandemic. So many are suffering now. I love that I can have a chat with Seagram and that we can find a way to do our part. This is how the Seagram & # 39; s Escapes marketplace was born. We have awarded $ 10,000 grants to three black-owned companies. I care about people, I care about the world, and I care about empowering other women.
BET.com: Can we look forward to further partnerships?
Bailey: I got some things out, but I can't talk about them right now. I also focus on my marriage. My wine cellar is open again, although we struggled through the pandemic like everyone else, but it's open and doing well. And when it comes to partnerships, I love working with my husband. We have a lot of things to do together that we plan together, and I'm happy about that.

What people don't realize is that as someone who has been working since I was 17, I always wanted to be successful and I was always willing to do the work to stay successful, but there is something great about being your best friend and about it Your husband and create some great things together. I want to do some things with Mike, the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.
BET.com: How have you evolved since you started the show?
Bailey: I think one of the things that saved me on the show, and the reason I was able to be on the show for over a decade at this point, is that I've never lost sight of who I am as a person . I didn't try to be anything else. I got on the show and gave you whatever it looked like: successful sometimes or through financial problems, broken marriages, friendships, broken friendships, motherhood and everything that comes with it. I always try to be who I am in my truth, even if it's not that entertaining. I'm on a platform where drama can work. All I've done on the show is how I would have treated them if I hadn't been on the show. I make myself I have always been true to myself.
Last year, Seagrams Escapes and Cynthia Bailey embarked on a national empowerment tour to host female leaders in colleges and universities. This year there is a virtual tour.
