At this point we are fairly expected to see while The bachelor Advertising cast calls for the next issues of the show. This week, however, the short casting commercial was something we definitely didn't expect: a casting call for seniors. is The bachelor Are you serious about making a "Senior" edition? We know the following – and do not know.
During the episode on Monday night, the usual casting call was broadcast during a commercial break, but with a twist: questions about "seniors looking for love". Going to the website listed on the screen will take you to the usual Bachelor Casting page, but now with a new addition: A section below called "New Senior Dating Show" with the instructions "To nominate someone else or apply online for our latest show casting singles in their golden years, click the link below to fill out our online registration form. "
The form itself contains the standard Bachelor Questionnaire with very little information about the details of the show – not even a show title, just "Senior Dating Show". The casting call is: "From the producers of The bachelor: Now casting seniors looking for love. Are you entering your golden years and looking for romance? The producers of The bachelor are looking for active and sociable single men and women in their golden years for an exciting new dating show! "
At this point, seniors are just one of many important population groups The bachelor hasn't explored (another one is LGBTQ + romance, apart from a relationship on Bachelor in paradise). In addition, there have been numerous complaints in recent seasons about the relative youth and immaturity of the candidates in the main franchise. If you look at it like this, it is not surprising that producers want to use this potentially under-utilized population group. After all, there are plenty of dating and romance reality shows, but none for everyone over 30. This could definitely fill a gap in the market. The bachelor The team has not released any information other than the casting announcement, so we will definitely keep an eye on this development!
