Lamar Odom pays tribute to DMX in a unique way.
The former NBA star, who suffered a near-fatal drug overdose in 2015, said the legendary rapper's death was not in vain. He believes X 'death will help those in the entertainment industry struggling with addiction.
The 41-year-old posted a photo of DMX in the studio and thought about DMX.
"My brother, the fight is over. You won your wings. You changed the rap game, one of the best there has ever been," he wrote before saying the rapper's death was part of a " bigger plan ".

He added, "Her death will bring life to so many of us celebrities who are publicly ridiculed but silently suffer from the battle of addiction. Mental health awareness is a must in our communities, and perhaps we can now after we Have lost another GOA T, create real platforms With real solutions, we cannot lose another DMX.. "
DMX died on Friday (April 9th) after a heart attack after a drug overdose a week earlier. He was admitted to White Plains Hospital in White Plains, New York, on April 2, and was described as "vegetative." He never regained consciousness.
Lamar Odom suffered an overdose in late 2015 and was hospitalized for weeks. He was able to recover and has been clean for years.
