Over a period of four days from March 19 to 22, the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Center (MaGIC) conducted a survey of 239 startups and social enterprises.
The participants came from different industries, including education, IT solutions, merchandising, F&B, tourism, agriculture and healthcare.
MaGIC's results showed that about 40% of startups and social enterprises could collapse if the COVID-19 pandemic continued until Hari Raya Aidilfitri in late May.
Given this situation, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has launched a campaign called #DigitalvsCovid that brings together local technology companies to bring their digital solutions and services to affected domestic businesses and consumers.
