Razer Fintech, the financial technology arm of Razer, has partnered with Visa to introduce a brand new Razer Card, the first prepaid card under the Razer brand.
All card users benefit from year-round cashback functions for online and physical purchases.
Users can receive 1 percent for cross-category purchases or up to 5 percent for RazerStore and Gold purchases. There is no minimum spend and no limit on cashback.
There is also a gamified reward system in the Razer Pay app. Unlike traditional card loyalty programs, users go through a personalized experience to track, evaluate and redeem rewards based on tasks and day-to-day transactions.
The Razer Card allows users to pay at over 61 million merchant locations around the world that accept Visa.
With its contactless payment technology, Razer cardholders can simply “tap to pay for everyday activities such as using public transport on buses and trains, buying movie tickets in theaters and buying a meal at fast food restaurants” Kunal Chatterjee, Visa Country Manager, Singapore and Brunei.
This integrated prepaid payment solution is in line with Razer Fintech's drive to create the world's first global youth bank – one outlined in their digital banking application to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

How do I apply?
Users can sign up for a free virtual card through Razer Pay and easily activate and access card information and controls in the app.
Users also have the option to upgrade to a myriad of standard or premium physical cards. The premium card in particular is the first card in the world that lights up when payment is made.
Ahead of its official launch, the Razer Card will be made available to 1,337 selected users through an exclusive beta test program between now and December 31.
This gives select users the opportunity to experience the virtual beta and physical card firsthand and to get involved in the product improvement process by providing user feedback before the card is released.
To encourage active testing, beta testers will receive 10 percent more cashback on RazerStore and Razer Gold purchases, as well as a range of beta rewards for gamified cards, where testers complete tasks, level up, and up to Razer gear Can redeem up to S $ 2,000 for card upgrades.
This exclusive three-month beta testing opportunity marks the first time a new Razer solution has been launched in the Singapore market.
