It's been four years since Rihanna released her last album (ANTI 2016), and her fans have almost given up hope that she will soon bless us with new music.
After trolling for months on end anyone who dared to ask them for a timeline, Rih finally gave some concrete answers to the status of their eighth studio album:
"I can't tell when I'm going to fall," she told British Vogue in the cover story of the April issue.
Probably not what anyone wanted to hear, but it offers more details when it comes to what the creative perspective of the album will look like.
"I don't want my albums to feel like topics," she says. "There are no rules. There is no format. There is only good music, and when I feel it, I delete it." As for the "reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album" she talked about last year, she gives a glimmer of hope: "Oh no, that happens."
"I feel like I have no limits," continues Rihanna. "I've done everything – I've done all hits, I've tried every genre – now I'm just wide open. I can do anything I want."
Looks like we have to be satisfied with new Fenty Beauty drops.
