A rocket attack on Thursday evening hit an Iraqi base in remote Kirkuk province, where American troops are stationed, Iraqi and U.S. security forces said AFP.
There were no immediate reports of losses.
It was the first attack on the K1 base since December 27, when a volley of around 30 missiles killed a US contractor Washington accused of Kataeb-Hezbollah, a persistent Iraqi military faction near Iran.
The United States then carried out retaliation, killing 25 Kataeb Hezbollah fighters and killing the Iranian pointman on Iraqi affairs, Qasem Soleimani, days later.
