A British citizen was arrested on Friday after a Ryanair plane flying from London to Oslo was at risk of bombing, the Norwegian police said, the second threat to a Ryanair flight in a week.
Fighter jets from neighboring Denmark accompanied the plane to the Norwegian capital, where it landed safely.
A large police presence awaited the plane when it landed at Gardemoen Airport about 50 kilometers northeast of Oslo.
"The police have the situation under control and have arrested a 51-year-old man suspected of being at risk of bombing," the police said in a statement, adding that the suspect was British.
Police said the passengers were evacuated from the plane that the bomb unit was investigating.
On Tuesday, the British police arrested two men after finding a message in an airplane toilet during another Ryanair flight that explosives were on board.
Police said nothing suspicious was found on the plane that flew from the Polish city of Krakow to the Irish capital, Dublin.
