The technical data for the unannounced Samsung Tab S7 and the Tab S7 Plus have leaked online and give us an almost complete impression of what we can expect from the company's upcoming tablets.
WinFuture reports that the big difference between the Tab S7 and the Tab S7 Plus is the screens. The S7 Plus is said to have a 12.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1752 and a built-in fingerprint sensor. The S7 should have a smaller 11-inch LCD display (2560 x 1600) and a fingerprint sensor on the side. Both screens are said to have a high refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Elsewhere, the technical data of the two tablets are very similar. WinFuture says both will be powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and will have two rear cameras, including a 13-megapixel main camera and an ultra-wide 5-megapixel camera, while both have an 8-megapixel selfie on the front have camera. They start with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and reports say 5G-compatible models are on the go.
Support for "Wireless DeX" is also mentioned. To us, it sounds like you can output Samsung's desktop-like interface to an external computer or monitor without cables. Rumors of such a feature have been around since 2018, and this could become a reality with the Galaxy Tab S7.
The Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is said to contain a 12.4-inch OLED display.
While most of the technical specifications are similar, the battery capacity is reported to differ between the Tab S7 and the Tab S7 Plus. The Plus model has a larger battery with 10,090 mAh, while the regular Tab S7 has a battery with 7,040 mAh. Both are said to offer support for fast charging up to 45 W, although WinFuture notes that they may only be included with a 15 W charger.
This is not the first look at the upcoming Samsung tablet. Earlier this month, Evan Blass released a number of press photos of the Tab S7, including the S Pen pen and the keyboard cover. However, this latest leak seems to leave Samsung little time to report when the new tablet series is expected to be launched on August 5 along with the Galaxy Note 20.
