The number of coronavirus deaths in Spain rose to over 10,000 on Thursday after 950 deaths in 24 hours. The number of confirmed cases exceeded 110,000, the government said.
Spain has the second highest death rate in the world after Italy. So far, the virus has killed 10,003 people, although the number of new infections and deaths continued its downward trend, according to figures from the Ministry of Health.
