The Singapore Blockchain Landscape Map 2020 was presented today (July 6) by OpenNodes at the "Unitize" collaborative online blockchain conference organized by San Francisco Blockchain Week and Block Show.
OpenNodes, an ecosystem platform that connects companies with providers of blockchain solutions, is an initiative of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and is supported by Tribe.
Tribe is Singapore's first government-sponsored platform to drive neutrality, collaboration, and growth in the blockchain ecosystem.
The blockchain ecosystem in Singapore has grown significantly since 2019. The "Blockchain Landscape 2020" map in Singapore was expanded by 91 new elements, so that a total of 234 units are available.
These units have been active in various blockchain-related initiatives. Some of these include Mastercard, VISA, Alibaba-supported Ant Financial, Tencent-supported WeBank, WireX, Phillip Securities, SAP, Contour and Libra supported by Facebook.
Blockchain summits from around the world such as Korea Blockchain Week, Paris Blockchain Week and Tel Aviv Blockchain Week are a first for the industry and have come together to host this virtual event.

Activity has increased due to numerous internationally recognized projects. Temasek recently partnered with Facebook, Libra Association, the first Asian member, and spun off several subsidiaries that focus on blockchain applications such as digital identity and trade finance.
Recent studies by Deloitte Global Blockchain Survey 2019 and 2020 have also shown that more companies worldwide are hiring blockchain experts.
The use of blockchain solutions is increasingly seen in various live projects and is particularly applicable in the various COVID-19 scenarios and the new normal that is evolving.
