"I want to see this nation smile again. And I want to see it before I travel to Ghana because that's what I'm going to do," said Wonder.

"Are you going to move to Ghana permanently?" asked Oprah.
"I am," he replied. "I don't want my children's children to have to say, 'Oh, please, like me. Please respect me, please know that I am important, please appreciate me.' What is it?"
This is not the first time Wonder has considered moving to Ghana. In 1994, he said he felt there was "more community" in the African nation than in the United States.
