Just two days ago, Tesla, an electric vehicle and alternative energy company, listed five roles based in Singapore.
Here are the roles available:
- service consultant
- Service manager
- Specialist for vehicle readiness
- Parts consultant
- Vehicle service technician
A quick search on the LinkedIn network site shows that Tesla is “actively recruiting” five roles in Singapore. The roles focus on the customer experience as well as the repair and service of vehicles.

Most technical tasks require "knowledge of the methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles" and some experience in the automotive industry.
Does Tesla start in Singapore?
Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular, and Singaporeans have wondered why Tesla's cars have not appeared on our streets.
In recent years, a fan has asked Tesla founder Elon Musk when the automaker's vehicles will be available in Singapore – "The government was unwanted," Musk's tweeted answer was.
It's unclear whether the new hires will be based in Singapore, but the news of Tesla's recruitment has definitely excited internet users for the prospect of driving a Tesla car in the near future.
