The Bachelor: How Matt James Knows Heather Martin

The connection between Matt and Heather is a bit awkward, but also important. Heather was in Colton Underwood's season of The bachelorwhere she memorably revealed that she had never been kissed. During that season, she befriended Hannah Brown, who soon became the next Bachelorette, and they remained good friends after filming ended. Then, as everyone will remember, one of Hannah Tyler Cameron's finalists was the fan favorite. Though Hannah Tyler initially declined in favor of Jed Wyatt, she and Jed split when his cheating scandal came to light, and she and Tyler became a close friend – to the point that they were quarantined in the same bubble in early 2020! And of course, Tyler's best friend is Matt.

In summary, while Heather and Matt are not necessarily close friends, they are linked through Heather's friendship with Hannah, Matt's friendship with Tyler, and Hannah and Tyler's own relationship. As far as we know, Heather and Matt never went on a date, though it's entirely possible they are closer than they have publicly announced.
