SXSW can be canceled, but the marketing and mixing of multinational companies as well as youth and street culture will certainly be alive and well in the COVID 19 era thanks to events such as TRANSFER, NTWRK's new virtual festival – GenZ's answer to home shopping Network.
The company, supported by FootLocker, Live Nation and Main Street Advisors, works with Edison Chen and his agency 3125c to design the event. According to a statement by the company, the street artist Futura 2000 will act as artistic director of the virtual festival, which is scheduled to take place on July 28 and 29.
The festival will include 30 brands and artists presenting exclusive products through NTWRK's distribution channels. The company hopes that 240,000 buyers and 10 million viewers will appear at the event.
However, the NTWRK virtual festival is more than just an opportunity to shop till you drop. It will also be a conference with panels and interviews as well as virtual DJ sets and musical performances.
Futura 2000 will create the visual experience and his company will sell branded goods in a virtual gift shop, while Zack Bia will be the musical director and perform multimedia DJ sets during the event.
"I am delighted to be able to introduce TRANSFER together with partner Aaron Levant (CEO of NTWRK)," said Edison Chen.
“We will work together to put together a menu of moments, objects and vibrations that will inspire and touch the many corners and pillars of our culture. Creatives from East and West are selected to bring memories and excitement to all corners of the youth culture lifestyle. We are happy to have a mixture of old and new schools with our artistic and musical directors Futura 2000 and Zach Bia. We promise to bring you drops and content that will blow your mind, ”Chen said.
