While honors for the next general election, to be held by April 2021, are boosting, business honchos, including entrepreneurs and high-flying executives, have recently been seen by MPs from the ruling People & # 39; s Action Party (MP). MRE).
People wondered if these people from the private sector could actually be potential candidates.

A potential competitor that has attracted attention is Edward Chia, co-founder of the Timbre Group. He was seen with Liang Eng Hwa in Holland-Bukit Timah GRC after Mr Liang's meeting on Monday evening (30 March).
Meet the man behind the timbre group
The 32-year-old entrepreneur was a co-founder of the Timbre Group with a social mission to develop the Singapore music scene by promoting talent from local musicians and to attract a sustainable audience.
Today the group has developed into a holistic music lifestyle company with a diversified, yet synergetic portfolio of companies, which ranges from food and beverages to concert and festival advertising to music education.
He is also the man who tried to bring about social change and get Singaporeans to return their trays after eating. He first implemented this idea at Timbre + in the JTC LaunchPad @ one-north.
Guests had to pay $ 1 for a tray that is automatically returned when they bring the trays with radios to the wash point. This turned out to be a success as 95% of guests returned their trays when it was estimated that only 20% returned their trays nationally.
With the opening of Timbre + in 2016 and the Yishun Park Hawker Center in 2017, the NUS graduate in economics and political science is currently leading a portfolio of four live music restaurant bars and dining concepts, two socially oriented F&B concepts, an agency for artist management. and a music academy.
He is also the co-chair of the high-ranking Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, Sim Ann, the body of the SG Youth Action Plan that helps youth shape their vision for the country.
Edward is also part of the 30-member Committee for the Future Economy (CFE), which was founded in 2016 to develop economic strategies for the country.
With a proven track record in business leadership, social entrepreneurship, and passion for social work, he's a potential candidate for the ruling party in Singapore.
In addition to Edward, there are several other promising entrepreneurs and managers who have been spotted with ministers and MPs at their respective stations during the meet-the-people sessions.
The PAP has not confirmed whether and where these potential candidates will be deployed, but we are keeping our eyes open for further constituency movements.
