Toya Wright talks about the backlash she had when she dropped reality TV cameras into the courtroom to record the murder trial of the man who is accused of killing her brothers in 2016.
Last September Antoine "Tweezy" Edwards was convicted of the 2016 New Orleans shootout that killed Wright's brothers, 24-year-old Ryan "Rudy" Johnson and 31-year-old Joshua Johnson. Edwards was sentenced to life in prison. Reality TV cameras were there to capture the process for Toya's story about Toya: A Family Affair.
Toya says that she doesn't regret the decision to tape the ordeal and says, "This is my reality."
"The truth is, people asked me why [I] was showing all that stuff," she said, adding that even her close friends were "stunned" that she would let cameras into the courtroom. "But when you sign up for a reality show, that's my reality," she continued.
