Technology giant Twitter announced today (February 13) that it is building an engineering center in Singapore as part of its Asia Pacific expansion plans (APAC).
The new center will be located at the company's APAC headquarters in the Central Business District (CBD).
According to Twitter, the Engineering Center will help strengthen its engineering skills and improve the availability and reliability of services for Twitter users worldwide.
To support this growth plan, Twitter plans to hire 65 “technical talents” in Singapore over the next few years. The roles available extend to product development, software development, data development and data science.
"The Asia Pacific region has always been a growth driver for our company, and this new engineering center is a strategic investment that demonstrates our commitment to this important region," said Maya Hari, Asia Pacific Vice President on Twitter.
“We are very excited to bring some of the best and most modern engineering jobs to Singapore for a global internet platform, from product development to data science to machine learning. This is truly an amazing time to join our purpose-built company in public conversation around the world. "
