Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the British two-meter rule on social distance would be reviewed before any further easing of blocking measures on July 4. As the incidence of COVID 19 decreases, his room for maneuver increases.
"If we lower the numbers, it will be one in 1,000, one in 1,600, maybe even less. Your chances of being two meters or a meter or even a foot away from someone who has the virus obviously decrease statistically so you start to create more scope for maneuvers, "he said on Sunday.
"We will look into this and keep checking it as we proceed to the next step in our plan, which you know is July 4th."
