Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff have announced plans to stay at Blair House, the president's guest house, while repairs are completed at the Naval Observatory, the vice president's official residence.
Harris' office said the vice president's residence would be delayed Wednesday due to chimney maintenance and repairs, Politico reports. It had been unclear where Harris would stay during the repairs.

Harris bought a condominium in a luxury skyscraper north of Washington Circle, but the increased security created additional inconvenience for residents, Politico writes.
The 120-room Blair House is a complex of four interconnecting 19th-century townhouses located across Pennsylvania Ave. from the Eisenhower Executive Office Building and steps from the White House. It serves as the President's guest house for visiting dignitaries and elected officials.
It was in this house that President Joe Biden spent the night before his inauguration. Former President Harry Truman lived at Blair House while the White House was being renovated after World War II.
