Good news for Disney + users who watched the live action Mulan until it was free: The film can now be streamed at no additional cost! The film became part of the regular Disney + subscription package on December 4th, so viewers can enjoy the classic retelling without a paywall.
The release of Mulan looked very different from previous adjustments. The film was originally scheduled for a theatrical release in March, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney decided to release the film on September 4th on a "premiere access" basis through their streaming service. Disney + subscribers who wanted to see the movie as soon as it dropped had to pay $ 29.99 for unlimited viewing. The first access offer for Mulan was then available until November 2nd at 11:59 pm. PT. Fortunately, those who weren't ready to spend $ 29.99 – and waited a whopping three months to hit play – can now see Hua Mulan's brave adventure in all of its live-action glory.
