The babysitting club Restart hit Netflix on June 3rd and we're already ready for more. While Netflix has not yet announced whether the series will have a second season or not, we have a lot of hope for a renewal. In case you didn't know it at the time The babysitting club The publication was discontinued in 2000 and there were 213 books in the series. The first season is only 10 episodes long, each focusing on one of the members of the title club, which means that there is a wealth of untapped potential that Netflix can take advantage of. In fact, the cast members of the new series – Sophie Grace (Kristy Thomas), Malia Baker (Mary Anne Spier), Shay Rudolph (Stacey McGill), Momona Tamada (Claudia Kishi) and Xochitl Gomez (Dawn Schafer) – spoke about some of the things with POPSUGAR you would like to see in a future season.
For Rudolph, she wouldn't want Stacey to return to New York as in the books. "I want to stay with the other BSC girls and have fun babysitting and have more memories on the set!" Grace is a big dog lover, so she wished that Kristy's very first job in the babysitting club as a dog sitter had made it into season one. But who knows, maybe the babysitting club can be expanded to include more dogs in the restart? If that doesn't happen, Grace added, "I hope Kristy can train Kristys Krushers just like I can in the books."
While Tamada loved how the first season turned out, she would definitely want the girls to leave Stoneybrook in the second season. I can only imagine how great Claudia's trip would look! Gomez loves creepy ghost stories like The ghost in Dawn's houseand were amazed that they didn't make it. Maybe they can have a funny Halloween episode in season two? In the meantime, Baker feels a strong connection with Mary Anne, especially when it comes to how she deals with surprises. The plot in which Mary Anne runs away in the books due to a surprise party is her ideal scenario for season two.
And these are just the storylines that the cast would like to see. If Netflix needs a little more inspiration, we've already made a list of the best Babysitter club Books of all time. So come on Netflix, we have to see the rest of the BSC crew soon!
